Domino server Installation on Windows 7 Home edition

I am trying to install partioned Domino server on windows 7 home edition.

The progam directory name is automatically filled with the

C:\Program Files(x86\IBM\Lotus\Domino)

when it should be

C:\Program Files(x86)\IBM\Lotus\Domino

I tried changing the path to this but Domino automatically inserts the default.

The notes.ini files missing from the rockdata and riverdata dirctories (data folders for the 2 partioned servers).

I cant start the server, the following message comes up saying

“The notes.ini cannot be found in the path”

Please help.

Windows 7 is not a supported OS for the Domino server . . . I believe the the installer actually checks for the installed OS and fails your install attempt

Sorry, but you are wrong.

I have 8.5.1 - server and clients - installed for developing purposes on Windows 7 Professional 64 bit. They run like a swiss clock.

Just don’t install the server in Program Files. I have a partition for Domino/Notes binaries and another partition for Domino/Notes Data
