Domino Server Freezing Windows 2K3 on Boot

Hello,

I have Lotus Domino Server 8.0.1 running on my Windows 2003 Enterprise SP2 server. It is running Quickr.

The problem is I have had to disable the “Lotus Domino Server (CLotusDominodata)” service in Windows because, if I don’t, Windows will hang on boot-up at the message “Applying security settings…”. If I disable this service it boots up fine.

Does anybody have any suggestions? Also, it may be of relevance, I have just joined this Windows server to my Active Directory domain.

I am seeing the same issue with my 8.0 installation of Domino. Do you have a resolution to this issue?

I have also tried 8.01 and had the same issue. I am also running SameTime with this installation.

It seems that this is related to trying to start the application as a Windows Service. I can run notes, without it starting as a service and the Windows server is fine.

Does anyone have any thoughts on why the Windows Service might not be working?
