Domino server can ping but can not access via lotus notes

I have been able to ping domino server through Command prompt but not able to connect through lotus notes < Ctrl + O → Put IP address or server name ). I have done following troubleshoot.

1> I have added server entries with IP address in host file of the my local computer.

2> Checked if 1352 is not being used by any other process.

3> Created connection document to the Domino server.

4> Checked if server is not blocked at firewall level

5> Traced the IP address using ports trace route in notes but it says

“(Connection denied. The server you connected to has a different name from the one requested.)”

Please assist me what else could have gone wrong here.

Subject: Domino server can ping but can not access via lotus notes

The first thing I’d do is check the server’s notes.ini file to make sure that it’s pointing to the correct id file.

do you have

Server doc updated with the new ip address (if not using a alias dnd entry) also check connection docs

Check local per nab for connection docs and delete them
