I’ve some of native domino applications which are running on R5 environment and planning to migrate those applications to R6.5.x environment. In R5 environment it has usernab authentication and it’s configured as a secondary domino directory for R5 environment. Authentication is happening without any issues on R5 environement. Before migrating to the R6 I tested the authentication part in R6 server but the secondary domino directory is not getting authenticated. I configured in the notes.ini and changed the internet authentication settings to “More name variations with lower security” in security settings. I’m able to see the secondary domino directory in people and ACL also. But secondary domino directory is not getting authenticated. Is there anything to configure? Could someone please help in this regard?

Subject: You will need to use Directory Assisstance
YOu will need to setup a Directory Assistance and Directory Catalog. This will authenticate those secondary directories. Theres lots of documentation in the admin help, so take your time and follow the steps.

I tried the DA and checked trusted settings also but its not getting authenticated. How shall I make sure whether the seconday database is configured correctly for intenet authentication? how the seconday database will get authenticate?

Make sure the box is checked.
