Hello,

Does all the fonctionalities of Outlook works whith Domino server. Is there some exceptions ?

Or is there a document that describes advantages/inconveniences of a such solution.

There are online comparisons available. Shouldn’t take much looking to find them.One concern with the outlook client is the worm/virus vulnerability that has a strong historical concern. Nevertheless, all systems require some protection from the nasties.

Here’s my overall sperspective.

MS give you a bit more desktop integration.

MS expansion also requries more core programming. Exchange seems to be an orphaned product, not a big part of .net or anything else.

Lotus has more back office integration for the enterprise. Specifically, DB2, CM, Websphere. It’s built for the enterprise. Lotus needs programming but it’s generally within the application solution environment.

So there are some trade-offs. Pick what fits your business best today and tomorrow.
