Domino Directory & pubnames.ntf upgrade accidentally

Really need help

Currenlty my office is multiserver environment. Here I have done upgrade my webserver to 7.03 FP1 but not to all server because we just plan to upgrade our webserver only. And we also plan dont want to upgrade Domino Directory,just remain in 7.02

After upgrade.

it running ok and the domino directory still remain in 7.02. But in the next day it change already, Now my names.nsf change to 7.03 and the big problem now all server affected.

when check I reliase now all pubnames.ntf using same replica id. So suspect the problem happen because of that.

1.How can I revert back my names.nsf for all server together with webserver to 7.02 version.

  1. How also to revert my pubnames.ntf for all server except web server to 7.02 again, can I just simply replace my design of pubnames.ntf with pubnames.ntf(originally release 7.02).

and then replace my server +webserver to that template

  1. How can I make sure all server still remain in 7.02 for names.nsf and pubnames.ntf (not include with webserver pubnames.ntf)

I really need urgent help, please

To revert to the old address books and templates, simply restore from a backup.

  1. make sure to take Domino server down before doing this

  2. rename the names.nsf and the pubnames.ntf on server now (in case of problems) to something like upgradedNames.nsf, etc…

  3. then bring in a backup copy of each.

Note: This is why you use a consultant to do upgrades… I personally always make a backup of the names.nsf and the template ON the server somewhere safe before upgrading, this makes for an easy return to old version.

Now… for part 2…

Before upgrading… TURN OFF REPLICATION of the names.nsf databases.

When you are ready to upgrade a specific server, turn replication back on for THAT one. Do them one by one.

Or - call in a consultant. I am available next week if needed.

Thanks for your advise, Yes I realise that is my mistake to turn on Replication on upgrading Server.

But one thing to ask,

Refer back to my upgrading process the names.nsf in that server previously still remain in old version and it just upgrade to new version after run task updall/compact ( we set this auto run overnight).

How can I PREVENT that ? Should I remove my program task of updall and compact too ?

Actually my company just plan to upgrade the Domino Server to 7.03 only but not yet for Domino Directory
