We’re trying to use the Save and Preview capability in Domino Designer, but it’s only creating a link with the machine name. For example, we want
http://test.company.com/designdb.nsf
but we’re getting
http://test/designdb.nsf
Anyway to change it? Is this something that needs to be changed at the DNS level?

Try changing the “Fully qualified Internet host name” field on the Basics tab of the Server document in the Domino Directory.

That has always been machinename.domain.com - it doesn’t seem to pick that up…

Sorry - went out of town for a few days - yes, we tried your suggestion. We also tried stopping and restarting the machine, including a reboot.
Is it possible that we would need just the machine name? That’s what gets plugged into the URL when we do a Preview from the Designer.

Check the server document. Go to the Ports tab and check out the field value where “net address” is located. I bet it only has the machine name. You would want to change it to a fully qualified domain name.
