I have been having issues with the designer client’s functionality. When I click on something in the applications section such as a particular view, the computer thinks the click is for 2 items below the item that I clicked on.
I am having to use the contextual menu and select open.
I have a 2.8 GHZ computer with 2 GB of memory.
Can anyone help me understand why I am having this issue? I have tried deleting the cache file and that does not help.
I was in the designer and wanted to “remove the bookmarks of certain databases on the left pane” and selected “Close Prespective” on the Window menu in the designer program itself. Once I opened the designer back up, then my mouse clicks were recongized and the program was not jumping around anymore when I went to click on something. I can actually double left click to open something and it opens it.
Roughly same pc config and I’m having the same click issue as well as speed of the interface. Have to click a couple of times to open a view or form. I like alot of the eclipse version but it doesn’t seem as solid and fast as the previous version.
Most times after a double click you have to click another thing in the left pane and then the double-click action is acvtivated. Hope this will be fixed soon, because it’s a time consuming action this way…

Could this be related to ‘editor synchronization’? Could you try switching off editor synchronization in the navigator? Click on the “Synchronize Navigator with Editor tab” button in the navigator to disable synchronization, this may help:
ON:
OFF:
Please let me know if it helps. We have added some fixes in this functionality in 8.5.1 that we hope will remove some of the navigator ‘jumpiness’.
