I am trying to get some information about a non-eclipse version of Domino Designer 8.5? I have seen references to this in some blogs but cannot find any documentation about it in the 8.5 Designer help. What is it, how do I run it? Apart from the UI changes what other differences are there? (I assume it runs faster and crashes less often)…

Designer 8.5 is only available in Standard (using Eclipse) mode. There is no supported way to run it in basic mode.
