Hi Everyone.I have a situation here.Hopefully can get some advice from you all.
Recently i have setup a new domino server 8.5.1 Fix Pack1 in the Window Server 2008 platform.
one the domino server has fully setup, i click on the domino server icon. Then i notice that the domino console didnt appear in the screen.
so i check the server task and services.msc. I found out the domino server is fully started. If its fully started how come it didnt appear the domino console once i start up the domino server??
Please advice. Urgent!!
THanks

Subject: Some hints
Soooo, we have a couple issues in there.May I start with a question ?
what would you need the console for ?
→ once your server is setup and started and all geared up, the best thing is to leave it alone with no screen mouse keyboard, and do your admin stuff from a remote admin worstation with the Domino Admin client.
Now some further steps :
in most cases, the proper way to start a Domino Server on Windows is notto click the icon, but to have it started as a service (with no desktop interaction)
can you access your server from a remote Notes client ?
can you see the nserver process in Window’s process list ?
what happens when you start/stop the Lotus Domino Server service from the services.msc ?
What’s the command line associated with said service ?
Hope this helps
