This tool the way it is is too slick for me. The heart of the data that I need is the list of servers and the findings which is in this little box down at the left and while I can move up and down the list I’m basically only seeing one server at a time. A lot of my servers have the same issues, but I can’t easily see this.
Is there a way to create different views that aren’t blocked in by all the other windows? Maybe something I can export out and sort in a way that maybe I can create a checklist from.
I like the area to the right that provides more information, but until I can get a really full picture of my domain the technotes are too intimidating for me to look at.
Thanks for posting! We’re addressing the view size issue specifically in 8.5.1 and will be posting an update prior to 8.5.1 ship date. The new UI can be seen in the DCT Tour (check about 1/2 way in) Please let me know if that addresses your issue. Remember, too, that you can change the categorization, so the you can see which servers are affected, categorized by rule (this is also shown in the tour.)
Hope that helps (& please let me know if it doesn’t)
The new look is better. I would like to be able to export the findings so I can use as a checklist and a way to document against the findings when I take action.
The current look, even though I can click on the different areas to show the data catagorized differently the screen is so small it still didn’t help the the slider to the right is so skinng and tempramental that it’s not much of a help.
With the new results window being longer, half the page, that will make a big difference.
I would appreciate a very little configuration option. DCT reported some results about which we don’t need to care because we don’t use the related function or it is set up in a way that limits its use. What I want to make clear is that DCT reports “false errors” as a consequence. And interpreting or ignoring events of higher severity is not the most favourable way of handling these results.
Therefore it would be a nice feature if it were possible to configure that DCT should not report certain events/settings/results any more or at least to change the severity level (e.g. to “normal”) of a result for future scans. I think this would lead to more tailored report for a given Domino infrastructure.
