HI all,

I am having some doubts, anyone could clear it

1.Dbcache Flush command used to clear the temp database cache,But at what time we should use this command.It rectifies what type of problem.

2.Can we conect to remote domino server through domino.What command we should use?

3.What are all the commands available to troubleshoot and configure modem in a domino.

4.If the drive we have the data directory is full.What king of error we get when we depoly some database ??

5.Is there any other way to search databse in domino except domino catalog ?

  1. dbcache flushIf you add someone into a group, and the group is part of an ACL, it might help to use dbcache flush, after which the added user will have access to the DB

  2. “Connect” to remote server

In which way? You need to setup connection documents in the domino directory. This will let you specify connection types (modem/net) etc.

  1. Modem troubleshooting

Use “Log Modem I/O” in the ports settings of the modem (File>Preferences>USer Preferences>Ports). More Information will be logged to the log.nsf

  1. Server disk full

Server full message on the server AND on the client.

  1. Search Databases

Use the Domino Administrator. Otherwise, catalog is the best way.

Perhaps not the best answers to all of your questions, but I hope this helps.

Thanx for ur reply…it very helpful to me…

But the 2nd question i have asked is how to connect to remote domino server to issue commands.One way is to connect through domino administrator,that i know.

Regarding modem connected to domino i asked that is there any console command available ?

To connect to remote servers you could also use the “Lotus Domino Console” which enables you to send the same command to multiple servers etc.

Requires some configuration on your servers though.
