Domino cluster distance limitation

we would like to setup domino cluster where each of 2 nodes would be located in different site. LOcations are connected over MPLS is there any issue from Domino perspective having 2 nodes cluster setup like this? loacations are in different time zones/

TIA

Subject: Domino Clustering

There is no artificial constraint on the configuration of Domino clusters. Cluster members can be any Domino servers located at different sites connected by networks of varying capacity.

It is important to note that the clustering technology does not provide any kind of differential support for cluster members based on network speed or machine capacity. All cluster members must be able to handle the cluster replication traffic.

As a result, the network capacity between cluster members must be sufficient to handle the update traffic. Update traffic is a function of the number of replicas and the update volume for each replica.

IBM recently held an Open Mic session on Domino Clustering. If you have additional clustering questions they may have already been covered in this session. For a replay → http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21318539
