Hi Folks,
I just want some advice on a Domino issue, i have a project wherein
The Domino Organisation (Certifier) name and Domino Server name is to
be changed. Lets assume the Current scenario is like this.

Current Organisation (Cert.id): Microsoft

Current Domino Domain name: Microsoft
-
Domino Server Name (Primary): Windows/Microsoft.

Users at Primary Server registered by another OU “USA” eg. Bill
Gates/USA/Microsoft
- Secondary Domino Server Name: Exchange/Messaging/Microsoft i.e.
server “Exchange” certified from OU “Messaging”.
User name eg. Steve Ballmer/Messaging/Microsoft
Now the Customer requirement is:
a) Change Certifier name from Microsft to IBM
b) Certify users on Primary Server by a new Cert.id
User name would be eg. Bill Gates/USA/IBM.
c) recertify server Windows with a new OU called “Mail” ie. server
name would be Windows/Mail/IBM
d) Rename the Domino server name from Windows to Notes.
e) Test whether the new server can communicate with the secondary
server (Exchange/Messaging/Microsoft),if not continue to rename and
recertify the secondary server and users with the new Certifier.
I have Tested the above scenario and after a lot of Trial and Error
have been moderately successfull in implementing the new Proposed
setup but i still do not feel confident enough to implement in
production environment as even a small mistake can screw up the whole
setup.
It will be very helpful if anybody can suggest how to go about this
implementation and how to make a rollback plan in case things go
wrong. I have checked the documentation on internet but it is not of
much help if you know about any documentation on this type of setup
please help me out.Looking forward for your response.
