Hi,
I’ve setup a Domino Blog but cannot get certain features to work. I have restriced a few pages to certain people but cannot there is no option to login on the webpage and I cannot see how to set it in the configuration document.
I’ve also noticed a total lack of documentation on this template.
Anyone else got the same gripes or are you using something else.
I’m really keen to get a blog working for internal communications but its a no go until someone writes some instructions !
Cheers,T.
Subject: Documentation is in Notes Help under “Lotus Notes > Web Logs”
Documentation is in Notes Help under “Lotus Notes > Web Logs”:
You can also view some more advanced stuff here:

Further documentation will be available shortly via a Notes Help update coming in 8.5 and a public wiki.
You should be able to create a new site from the template on your Domino server and your away without doing anything further. Then you can tailor the ACL if you want to restrict internal viewing.
If you have restricted the ACL (removing Anonymous access) the browser will automatically prompt for a user name and password when the site is accessed.?
Default site without modification (v8.01):
You then add posts using “New Post”, enter a subject and your rich text then click “Save and Post”.
Subject: Blog Documentation
The Lotus Documentation home page should serve as the starting point for finding the information you are looking for.
For example, if you follow the link to the Lotus Domino and Notes Information Center, you will be able to find the Blogging documentation under Notes 8, Web Logs, as shown in the graphic below. There is a great deal of information on how to create, configure, and use the Domino blog template.
In addition to that, Steve Castledine, the lead developer for the template has a great deal of content available on his blog:
