Domino 802 on MS 2008 server does not start (2nd post)

I have setup a fresh install of a Lotus Domino 8.0.2 server (32 bit) on a MS Windows 2008 server (64 bit). After finishing configure the Domino server, I try to start the server by starting the Lotus Domino service. Nothing happens, except the service is saying: “Starting”. After a few minutes the service stops. Also no Domino server screen.

The Windows event viewer says: The Lotus Domino Server (CLotusDominodata) service terminated unexpectedly. It has done this 1 time(s)., Event ID 7034. I am not able to find something userfull about this ID.

I have checked the checkbox of the shortcut “Run as administrator”.

(Why not running Domino 64 bit? Because McAfee GroupShield 7 does not support Domino 64 bit on Windows 64 bit. It should be Domino 32 bit.)

Can anybody help me?

A NSD-file is created. Here is part of it:

Subject: Thanks for your reply

I tried 8.5 32 bit. it runs well in MS Windows 2008 64-bit serverNow have have to look for McAfee GroupShield or it is running under this configuration.

Thanks again.

Subject: Re: Unsupported configuration

Unfortunately Windows 2008 is not a supported platform for any release of Domino at this time.

Subject: Domino 802 on MS 2008 server does not start (2nd post)

While this configuration is not supported you can try to run the server in compatibility mode. That should solve the issue. To do right click on the shortcut and select the compatibility tab . Select either windows 2000 or XP from the list.

Subject: Sorry, can’t help (and this is probably not a supported Setup) - Still I would call support

Subject: 8.5

Try install domino 8.5We had strange problem win domino 8.0.2 64bit, upgraded to 8.5 64bit on win 2008 64. so far so good.
