Have anybody experienced this problem, please help and yes i have tried all suggestions about 32 bit odbc from version 7 Forum.
This is my setup that fails:
Domino 8.0.1 64 bit
Client Access ODBC driver 5r4m0
SQL Sever ODBC 32 bit
SQL Native Client ODBC 64 bit
System DSN has been setup in both 64 and 32 bit ODBC Manager but the Scheduled agents doesn’t seem to be able to see them.
If i run the agent from installed client on server = no problems.
If I create a user DSN, agents seems to see it but crash the server with a PANIC failure.
When i downgrade the 8.0.1 Domino server to 32 bit scheduled agents works ;-C.
Subject: same problem
We appear to be having the same (or similar) problem. With much the same configuration, one of our agents made an ODBC call and crashed the server. Now, even a reboot of the server does not allow the Domino service to start. We start Domino as a service and every time it fails to start. This is the message we get in the Windows Event Viewer:
“The Lotus Domino Server (DLotusDominodata) service terminated with service-specific error 8641 (0x21C1).”
There is nothing written in any of the Domino files (IBM_TECHNICAL_SUPPORT, etc.) of any use and not even the most basic domino processes gets started.
We will be downgrading everything to 32-bit and so hopefully that will fix this.
Subject: Out of Luck
I researched this same issue and found that ODBC does not work with 64 bit and is not yet supported by IBM. They will tell you to use the 32 bit version. Sorry, you will have to wait until 8.5 64 bit comes out to use ODBC.
