Domino 8.5 installer hangs at the end

Hi everyone,

I have a big problem concerning the install of Lotus Domino 8.5 on a RHEL 5.1 box. The installer hangs at the very end of the install (during the “Creating the uninstaller…”).

A few searchs on the Internet and the javacore file in the tmpdir of the installer led me to a Java problem with the installer (something near JVMST109 error and a Java heap size). The problem occurs on command line or graphical installation (the graphical installation crash saying there’s not enough memory in heap, the command line one just hangs).

Has someone already had that problem ? Did someone find a solution ? Can I modify the parameters of the installer to increase the Java heap size in order to finish the installation ?

Subject: Could you, please, attach DominoInstall.log?

It should be located in your Domino program directory: e.g. /opt/ibm/lotus/notes/latest/linux.DominoInstall.log

Subject: Same problem here, is there a solution

We also hang at this point. Hopefully there is an answer, reason, solution for that issue. Who knows anything about that?

We are trying to install on RHEL 5.1
