Domino 8.5.2 and I.E 8 compatibility

Hello,

We intend to install Windows 8.5.2 on Windows 2003 server. And host Domino web applications on it. The end users will be using IE8 browser to access the applications. I was checking the Domino 8.5.2 systems requirement document. In that document, it is mentioned that it supports Microsoft Internet Explorer 8.0 in Toleration Mode. My question is what is the meaning of “Toleration Mode” here ?

Hi Paul,

Thanks for your response. Will be glad if you can clarify further as I am not familiar with what does “Tolerance Mode” mean in Compatibility terms i.e. is it compatible, not compatible, partial compatible etc. And if it is partically compatible which features are compatible/not compatible.
