Dear all,
I’m running a Domino R7 server. I want in the same machine to install a Domino R8 server.
– How is it possible? I have to use “partitioned server” feature?
– Are there any possible conflicts if I install all in one machine?
– Where can I find instructions?

Hi Panos,
This is quite an undertaking and involves some risk. Do you have a Support contract with IBM? If so, I would recommend calling in and requesting to speak with the Server Core team regarding configuring Two instances of Domino on a Partitioned Server. They will be able to best assist you with this matter.
If you do not have a support contract, let me know via response and I will see if I can find the most detailed instructions for you.

Thank you very much for the response. Unfortunately I do not have a Support contract with IBM.
Also from Domino Help I found that you can only use Partitioned installation if you want to install the same version of Domino (ex. run 2 instances of Domino 7). What I want is Domino 7 and Domino 8 servers run on the same machine.
If you could send me any instructions it would be great!

I know you can install multiple versions of Domino under the UNIX Platform, but I’m not 100% savvy with the configurations of partitions and such.
