Why such a delay from 7.0.2 to 7.0.3 ? I assume they are working heavily on Lotus Notes / Domino 8 or 7.5 ?
I wonder if they are pushing to get Domino 8 done by end of year ?
I guess we will find out at Lotusphere ?

They switched from doing quarterly updates quite a while ago. It was nine months between 7.0.1 and 7.0.2. Sept 2007 isn’t that much longer.
I don’t know if there’s going to be a 7.5 of the Notes/Domino set. IBM has been saying that Notes 8 is scheduled for a 1Q 2007 release. There’ll be a lot more about it at Lotusphere for sure.

1Q 2007? I wouldn’t bet on that. Maybe 1Q 2008. There will probably be an announcement about a public beta of Domino 8 at Lotusphere, but we won’t actually see the code until sometime in February or March.

Back in November, I remember reading Lotus Notes 8 was released internally to some of IBM for beta testing.
Last I heard about a Gold release date was 1st half of 2007 which means by the end of June. Obviously this could change, but hopefully more will be annouced at Lotusphere next week.
