We have a new i5 with os version 5 release 4 and we tested lotus domino server 654 FP2 on it.Domino server is running and we have no errors,but IBM reported that domino 654 IS NOT SUPPORTED on v5r4 i5 systems.
Anyone know something more about this problem?
We would like to start in the future on production server with the same release of domino.

We have Domino 7.0.2. We upgrade after some issues with 6.5.3 to 7.0 and that cause some performance issues that were resolved with 7.0.2.

So in the past you had domino 653 with iseries operating system v5r4,but which kind of issues did you have with the old release of domino? At the moment we have a test i5 machine with 654 but it seems that all work fine.

In this case, this is mainly a testing effort statement. Domino 6.54 shipped in March '05, but V5R4 didn’t ship until six months later, Sep '05. So 6.54 couldn’t be fully tested on V5R4. As you note, it is running without errors, and I don’t believe there are any outstanding problems with running 6.54 on V5R4. The main issue would be if you encountered a Domino problem that was OS related. Since officially you are running on an unsupported OS release, it would be very difficult to get IBM support to address the problem.
Domino 6.55, 7.01, and 7.02 are the supported Domino releases for V5R4. Any thoughts on moving to one of those Domino releases?
