Domino 6.5 install thinks Domino 6.02 is a Notes client installation?

Does anyone know what R6.5 uses to determine whether your data directory belongs to a Notes client vs. a Domino server?

When I point the installer at the Domino\data directory of a Domino 6.02 install, it puts up a “Misconfiguration” dialog box that says “The directory selected contains a Lotus Notes Install. Domino and Notes can not share the same Data Directories, Please select another directory.”

This is a bit more annoying than the incremental installer checksum “feature” :stuck_out_tongue:

Subject: fixed via registry edit

I had installed Domino R5 for testing on the same machine R6.0x was on and then uninstalled Domino R5. The registry had lots of keys pointing at the Domino R5 location (even though it was uninstalled), including pointers for handling .ndl and .nsf files.
