Domino 6.5.5 FP2 problems

I’ve found the 6.5.5 FP2 available on the passport advantage website, so I tried it on my test server.I’m having a few problems :

  1. The Junk Mail and Follow Up folders on Domino Web Access don’t show up. I’m using the italian template, and replaced the english one, so maybe it’s a localization problem.

  2. On the server console I see every 10 minutes or so this line

04/11/2006 10.01.00 DEBUG_TRAN_REQ_VALIDATE_DISABLE changed to 0.

And I just don’t know what it does, nor I can find anything about this setting.

Since I can’t find any news about 6.5.5 FP2 to be released I’m starting to believe that I’m actually using a beta version, since it seem to unfix more stuff than it fixes.

Anyone tried it too ? Or does anyone knows if 6.5.5 FP2 is actually out or not ?

i discovered the same behaviour. this morning the status pass from silver to web posting for 6.5.5FP2 (;-)).But i suffer the same error message on the console. I request to my IBM support guy the way to suppressit.

If no response we can open an PMR ont it ? (;-)))))

the console message is now registered at ibm under the SPR JPAI6QWKVL !. It is a debug code not removed for the final build. Accordingly to IBM guys it will not impact the performance of the code… Another great tested build from IBM … This Error Will be corrected in 6.5.6

I cannot find that SPR in 6.5.6 Fix Lists, how can we prevent this console message?

this SPR are not public already. There is no way to avoid the debug message currently we have to live with it. . For the faulty dll we crash a web portail too until we change the dll. (Nice no ? in production environnement?). But fp2 seems to implement a lot of new notes.ini parameters , we learn every day with ibm support !.the technote 1244315 about the SPR SPR# CMCY6KBQAR when it will be published will certainly show you how to implement a hot fix already included in the FP2 code but not activated without a special notes.ini parameters !!!. This behaviour appears in 6.5.4 (like ConstrainedSHMSizeMB= or ConstrainedSHMSize=)

Yeah, I noticed the silver to web posting jump too.I’m somewhat reluctant to roll out this beast on my servers…

This issue causes the following features to be missing in DWA:

No “Follow-up” button

No “Tools\Show Unread Only”

No “Tools\Block Mail from sender” option

No “Follow-up” view

No “Junk Mail” view

No “Time” column in views

No “Print this view” option in views, except calendar view that does have it

No “Open in a new window” option in tabs

No “Sign” option in new mail

No “Encrypt” option in new mail

No “Send & File” button in new mail

No “Reply\To Sender with Internet-Style History” option in mail

No “Reply\To All with Internet-Style History” option in mail

No “Forward\Internet-Style Forward” option in mail

No “Tools\Copy Into New Calendar Entry” option in mail

No “Tools\Copy Into New To Do Entry” option in mail

No “Pencil In” option in new calendar entry

No Sametime integration

No “Secure mail settings” in mail preferences

No “Composing Internet Style Replies” section in mail preferences

dont thinks so too. Only it show that ibm use now very strange way to hide the code or property related to dwa. ndgts.dll in the past was only a dll for text ressources show by about box and nsd report . Now we know it is used by DWA!. If you want other hide information see property of icon of an dwa enbled mail database. You’ll learn how and why dwa mail database always calls iNotes/Forms6.nsf for subform… (:wink:
