At 50% of the install process, get the following error:

Error Number: -119
There was a previous version, R6.5.2 installed however, this was uninstalled. Do have a Notes 6.5.3 Client installed. The Registry looks clean, so any ideas?

When we install there are always some .dll files that are “in use” and can’t be overwritten. This sounds similar. If it is the same issue, after you cancel the installation you should drag the .dll to some other location (root of the C: drive, for example) and then restart the install. After successfully installing and then rebooting the server, you will be able to delete the .dll file out off the root.I hope it is that easy for you! Good luck.

The DLL files that are 'in use ’ can be caused by three things:
backup software keeps a lock (seen this with TSM very often)
HP/Compaq system software keeps a lock (dunno why…)
Antivirus software (eTrust!) keeps a lock.
Unloading all non essential processes solves this problem for my anytime.
