Domino 6.5.2 and SameTime 6.5.1

Greetings All,

Recently, I installed Domino 6.5.2 and SameTime 6.5.1. After browsing the available software on IBM’s site, I only saw the above SameTime software mentioned…figuring this was the latest and greatest version, I downloaded, extracted and installed this software ontop of my Domino server. Unfortunately, I still can’t access the SameTime or Chat features. Whenever I enter my password, Notes returns a message indicating that it could not connect to the SameTime server. Again, I installed SameTime 6.5.1, so I’m not sure if this is the proper version for 6.5.2 of Domino.

Also, in looking at my server’s document, I select “Yes” to the question is this a SameTime server? however, I still didn’t see any options available under the SameTime tab of the document itself, am I missing something here?

It’s okay to install Sametime 6.5.1 on Domino 6.5.2. It works.If this is the first time you have ever installed a Sametime server, I suggest reading the install documentation. There’s also a nice redbook at IBM Redbooks. There are many things you could have done wrong.

Never edit the Server document in the Domino Directory. Those settings are obsolete. The specific Sametime server settings should only be edited from the web browser. You’ll see that in the documentation.
