Hi,
I’m planning an upgrade of my Domino 6.5 servers to Domino 8.5.1. The first step is to upgrade the Domino Directory design to 8.5.1 and I know that it is backwards compatible with my 6.5 servers.
I also have a couple of Domino 5 servers set up as Blackberry servers. Are these also compatible with the Domino 8.5.1 directory design?

You might want to disable replicating design elements to these replicas until you are ready to upgrade them to 8.5.1… So in Replication Options for this Application in the 5.x Domino Servers Domino Directory (Usually names.nsf) you can uncheck Design elements in Receive these elements from other replicas… Be sure to re-check after you upgrade to 8.5.1
