Domain Search results include some wrong results

Hi,

We have set up a centralised mail file called “E-mail Store” and staff members cc or bcc client related e-mails to this mail file. This mail file is also set up to be searched by the domain search tool. We have used this system for years and never had any problems with the results but I have just come across a result which I can’t explain.

I type in H100 and it brings 2 documents up that are for another client (S194) i’ve searched all through these e-mails for the text h100 but it isn’t in there. Also when sorting by relevance they are at the bottom of the list - as if the system knows they aren’t relevant but they are displayed anyway!

Is this a known issue (We only have R6) / has anybody else resolved an issue like this. (i’ve already searched the forum but nothing matches the exact problem we have here).

I’m assuming you’ve tried deleteing and recreating the FT index, so try looking at those two documents in a view, the exporting them as structured text to a .txt file (File-Export), and open that. Do a search in this file for H100 - you may find that, yes indeedy, the search strng is thereAlternatively, are there any attachments in these mails?

If so, open & search in them, the string H100 might be in there
