Domain of Sender Address Does Not Resolve

We have a new Domino Setup and are using a preconfigured DNS Server. Surprisingly we are having problems sending and receiving mails from quite a few domains but from the rest domains there are no problems.

Subject: Domain of Sender Address Does Not Resolve

ReceiveResponse: 451 4.1.8 Domain of sender address “Lotus.Admin@Kafcobd.com” does not resolve<

What it means is that probably the server you are trying to send mail to is checking to see if your Domain “kafcobd.com” exists in the DNS, and its not resolving.

Is your domain properly configured on the internet? Maybe there may be some problem with your DNS servers not being properly configured to answer to your domain.

Go to http://www.dnsreport.com/ , type in your domain on the “DNS Report” field and you might get some insight into what may be wrong.

Hope this helps,

Daniel
