I’ve noticed some odd behavior on the Domain Indexer, and I’d like to solicit the thoughts on this:
We have three servers, A, B, and C, with several thousand databases distributed between them (not evenly, but there are lots of databases on each server, which no server having less then about 1Tb of data)
Now accordinging to the Domain Catalog, all the databases on Server C have been incorporated into the Domain Index. Furthermore, all the databases on all the servers marked for inclusion in the domain index are static – no changes are being made to them. All the databases have had their full text indices built, and built some time ago.
The issue is that the Domain Indexer is reiadding the databases on C on a a sporadic basis. Yesterday, it re-added one database. Monday it was two. Saturday it was six.
Again, these databases are all static; nothing is changing in them. Why is the Domain Indexer even looking at thim, let alone re-addind them to the Domain Index??
