A bug is present in DOLNAMES.NSF since at least version 5.0.8 and still active in 6.5.1. It consist in:- having an empty Firstname
- having a Lastname containing a fullname
in the person document, generated by install.
This results in the fact that authenticating oneself with the sole lastname won’t work, the fullname (canonical or “firstname real-lastname”) is required.
Users are very disappointed to have succeeded in authenticating to the network with the lastname and have to enter a longer name when offline.
Of course the DOLNAMES.NSF documents can be modified, but this is very hard to deploy.
Do anyone knows if this will be present also in R7 or fixed one day?
