Hello
Even with 8.5.1 FP3, the Notes Single Sign on Service does not Work on 64bit Windows-Systems.
Will that be fixed with 8.5.2?
Because these days we only install 64bit Windows 7 and Mac.
it’s not so cool to explain employee’s that SSO doesnt work with the new version

Instead of installing the Single login service, you need to use the Notes shared login instead (per Lotus Support).
A couple of “issues” I’ve seen once we’ve enabled it:
-
I had one instance where the user changed the Lotus Notes password first and it did not seem to change the Windows/AD side. This could be user error, but it may be easier if the user changed it on the Windows/AD side first.
-
Internet password needs to manually changed if you have policies set up to change the internet password once the Notes client password has changed
Here is the help on Notes shared login:

The Notes shared login feature introduced in Notes 8.5 (the one which doesn’t use the Windows service), doesn’t synchronize the Notes ID and Windows/AD passwords. It uses a different approach to provide SSO between Windows and Notes. Because of this, setting a Notes ID password with Notes shared login enabled won’t cause the Windows/AD password to be updated (as you pointed out).
With Notes shared login, there’s essentially no Notes ID password, so policies related to Notes ID password (e.g. password expiration, sync’ing with HTTP password) don’t apply
