Hi,We have a problem with notes client security preferences.
We have a code to initiate a Lotus Com session using VB and once we launch that it would ask for notes password. This is working fine. We have enabled “Don’t prompt for a password from other Notes based programs” checked in user security preferences, so that the password prompt will not come for users.
This one works for some users. for some users it is not working and it is asking password for them. restarted the client, but still no luck.

I ran into this problem when I was setting up a connection between a Notes DB and MS Excel using the NotesSQL driver.
What resolved the problem was recreating the connection but NOT choosing the advanced option to select the Notes ID file. The other thing is that the user has to be logged into the Notes client while you are performing the connection. Otherwise, the password prompt will always appear.
