Not sure why this concept is causing so much confusion! When the ICM receives an HTTP request (direct or redirection URL from web server), does it change the URL to reflect the FQDN? Reason for question… assuming we need 2 separate SSL certs. Example…
initial request comes into the ICM as icm.test.com/home.nsf and redirected to serverB. Server B’s FQDN is serverB.test.com. Does the URL change from icm.test.com/home.nsf to serverB.test.com/home.nsf? If so, I could see the need for separate SSL certs. I know the ICM would have to include a unique (assuming FQDN) address in the browser URL field or else it would not know where to go! Does (or can) the server change the URL to test.com? It would be nice if only 1 SSL cert was required because the web cluster is really for test.com (on either machine).
