Our Mac people are running 6.0 on OS9 and 6.0.3 on OSX.I believe the installers are different - so the OS9 installers will not work on OSX & vice versa (I am not a Mac user).
I ran 6.0.1 on OS 10.2.6 for over a year and never had a problem. I went to 10.2.8 and Client 6.5 in the same day, and it worked so-so … about once every, say, 10 launches or so it crashes immediately, but then the next launch works.
Subject: Update (WAS: Does anyone runs 6.0.3 on MacOS X?)
The 6.0.3 trial doesn’t work under 10.2.8 on my machine.
I moved my existing 6.00 installation to a new folder, removed the Notes Preferences file and plist, and performed a clean install of 6.0.3. The installation ran just fine, no issues (apart from requiring all other apps quit whilst the installation runs: what is it with apps that do this? We’re not in Windoze now!!)
Attempting to run Notes just results in it unexpectedly quitting after the initial “new / existing installation” prompt re Notes preferences.

Interesting… what’s different about 6.5 that means it’ll work on OS X I wonder? I mean, 6.0.3 is supposed to work on OS X! Best get over to the archived beta forum I guess…
I’m d’loading the 6.0.3 trial now, ready to go on my 10.2.8 (no classic environment) machine. Will let you know how I get on (I currently run 6.00 due to no updater availability).
