Does 8.5 retain current user settings

Creating a Lotus Notes installation package for our organization, using the InstallShield Tuner. Current version for our users is 6.5. Operating system is Windows XP, Service Pack 2.

I don’t have a Notes account myself and so was wondering if when doing a single-user installation, if the user’s settings (user name, Domino server to connect to, etc.–the items presented in the first couple dialogs when first running 8.5) are retained, or is some of this info I’ll have to add to an .ini file or something similar within the extracted files?

Also, if this is info I need to set manually, can it also be done for multi-user installs?

Subject: Depends

If you are doing an upgrade, then all of this information will be retained from the previous version’s settings. If you are doing a fresh install, then yes, you need to specify the information. Here’s a link to the Admin help:
