Documents being archived that are NOT in mail file

We have server archiving set up through policies. We also have replica copies of our user’s personal address books on the server. These user’s address books are now being archived with the same criteria as the mail files–and the user’s contacts are disappearing from their personal address books. Why is this happening? In all the documentation it specifies that the archiving applies to mail files.

A solution for us will be to move these files to a server that doesn’t archive, but this seems to me to be a bigger problem lurking. I would appreciate an answer from someone at Lotus. Do I need to worry about other files being affected?

Subject: Address books

Hello,When you say that you replicate adress book on the server, you will say the names.nsf of the user who is replication as a nsf file on the server or you synchronise the contacts ?

Subject: Documents being deleted from address books

We actually store copies of the users address books on our server for backup purposes. We solved the problem by moving these from this server to another server.
