when i see document properties from my lotus login id (on Right click of document) then i can see dob field Item as

Field Name: Dob

Data Type: Time/Date

Data Length: 8 bytes

Seq Num: 1

Dup Item ID: 0

Field Flags: SUMMARY

10-10-80

here i am getting as 10-10-80

when same document seen by another designer lotus id then same document same item is seen as

Field Name: Dob

Data Type: Time/Date

Data Length: 8 bytes

Seq Num: 1

Dup Item ID: 0

Field Flags: SUMMARY

10/10/1980

here she is getting 10/10/1980

why such problem comes?

what is solution?

Subject: document properties

There is no “problem” – dates are displayed as text using the user settings. Internally, they are just numbers – there is no format associated with the value.

Problem?

Computer 1’s regional settings are different that computer 2’s.

Computer 1 is set to mm-dd-yy and computer 2 is mm/dd/yyyy

That’s how it suppose to work.

If this is a windows machine you go to your Control Panel to change the value.
