Document Not Showing Anywhere but All Documents

I’m sure this has been asked before but I can’t find any posts relating to it.

I was asked to look for an email which a user should have received (was in our journal) as it wasn’t in their inbox. I found it in their All Documents view, but it wasn’t present in any folder.

What can cause a document to lose where it’s supposed to be?

Apperently, none of the selection formulas of your views, except all, include the document.

Thanks Joost, what I meant was, why is a normal email not showing in the inbox view when all others do?

I will try and compact and updall this evening in case there’s a corrupt view.

Inbox is a folder, not a view. That means, incoming emails are there, because Notes puts them there. In most cases emails that do not appear in the Inbox are cause by mail rules moving them around.
