Hello there developers, I experienced this problem. I turned on document locking on a database. From that moment, I found that user with right “Write public access document” (and having Author access level) cannot edit public documents (documents with field $PublicAccess set to “1”). It seems like Notes has problem with editing public documents while users have Author access to database.
After turning locking off, the problem disappeared.
