Document Locking and Editing Attachments

In a database with document locking enabled, my experience has been:

  1. The user opens a Notes document with an attachment. The user double-clicks the attachment icon and clicks the “Open” button. The user exits the attachment document and closes the Notes document. Notes unlocks the document.

  2. The user opens a Notes document with an attachment. The user double-clicks the attachment icon and clicks the “Edit” button. The user exits the attachment document and closes the Notes document. Notes keeps the Notes document locked.

Has anyone else had this experience?
