Hi everyone…Is it possible to make a document link on the web (email) that link to the document on the Notes client.
as an example, My running application via agent sent email to mail address, that contain information about document on Notes client need to be approved, then below the text I give a link to the document on client, so that user can open the document on Notes client via link on the web mail.
any help?
I’ve tried using rtitem.appenddoclink to make link of document, but this code appeared to work just on Notes client mail, when I open it on web mail such as Yahoo, it just contains text without any link of them
Thank for any of your help

You would need to use a Notes URL of the form
Notes:///00256C3E0030650D/C21908BAF7E06EB085256A39006EAE9F/65136E61BA730D3385257258001209F1
which happens to be a link to your post on my local replica. If you wanted it to be a URL hotspot, you could make it Link, which might be easier for people to understand. It is difficult, although certainly not impossible, to make a URL hotspot with the stand Notes classes.
If you want a far more general solution, our CoexLinks will automatically convert doclinks and other link hotspots into NDL attachments or Notes URL hotspots or HTTP URL hotspots that will work on the web and in other mail applications, such as Outlook, with no modifications necessary to the calling application, and no agents or scripts to add to any database. It might be worth a look. CoexLinks is used by many of the largest companies in the world, and by a fair number of smaller ones as well.

w0w i would like to try the 1st solution…But I have more question on you…
1.How to easily get the URL address of my form/document?
I’d tried some way to get that url, but its way too complicated for me, do you have simpler solution?
2.to Open a spesific document, we need document unique ID (if I’m not wrong) just like (example only)Notes/123123123/78997
where the 78997 stands for a spesific document.
Is it right?
Thank for your help

It is fairly easy, actually:
NotesURL property
Read-only. The Domino URL of a document when Notes protocols are in effect.
Note This property is new with Release 5.0.02b.
Note Prior to Release 6, this property was supported in COM only.
Defined in
NotesDocument
Data type
String
Syntax
To get: url$ = notesDocument.NotesURL
Usage
If Notes protocols are not available, this property returns an empty string. See HttpURL.
See Resolve in NotesSession for additional information and examples.
Language cross-reference
NotesURL property in Java Document class
