Hi all,i’ve got a qns to ask.
Currently my users are creating daily reports into this particular db which has replicated copies in different sites (eg, Singapore, Batam, Kuantan, etc).
Upon creation, email notification containing doclink will be sent to related personnels via email.
However, when those notified clicked on the doclink, it brings them to another site’s server instead of the one it was created from. Kinda weird…
Scenario :
User A created a report thru Kuantan server. When UserB clicks on the doclink, it launches the document residing in Singapore Server instead of Kuantan. This is an issue as the speed is really slow and replication doesnt take place immediately.
is the “Server Hint” of any use to bring whoever that clicks on the doclink to access the doc from the server shown in “server hint”?
or is there any other solutions?

When a user receives a doclink and follows it, Notes searches a replica in the users workspace. If it finds one, it uses it and tries to find the doc there. Problem can be that the user has more than one replica in his workspac (stacked, may be). The the replica “on top” of the stack is used 1st. On top is always the replica which was last opened by the user.If no replica is found, Notes searches the home server of the user, and then other servers. If no replica is found there, a popup windows appears, prompting the user to select a server where the replica may reside…

Thanks…Saw the links…got a bit confused though.just want to find out if i can dictate which server to open from based on the user’s location.
Eg if user from Kembla, launch from kembla’s server, if user is from Batam, launch from batam’s server.
Any more suggestions?
