Have agents in several applications that send a email notification when a new document arrives. It has been working fine until today. As of today, instead of the actual doc link, it is just this:

Over the weekend, network staff set up a second AS400 iSeries and installed some new Domino servers to get a fail-over system ready for our current 3 Domino servers on the first AS400. The main Domino Administrator assures me that she made no changes to the existing email and application Domino servers that could have created this problem. Any ideas?

Using Domino server 6.5 and client, I have found that when I send an email with a doclink to a user on another (identical) server, the doclink is converted to plain text. For example, 2 Domino servers, same build, same domain. send mail with doclink from server A to user on Server B. User on server B gets text instead of a doclink. The link looks something like this: (Document Link: My Form) I have been searching the news groups and here and it sounds like the same issue you are having. I wish someone knew the answer for this. My servers are running on Windows 2000 servers so I don’t believe it’s an OS problem if it’s doing the same on your OS/400. The suggestion of changing from MIME to Notes Rich Text is incorrect because thats for sending out to the internet not from Domino server to Domino Server. Also, My client is set to Mime and I can send and recieve doclinks just fine to other users on the same server.

Any news on this one ? I too now have the same problem, sending a document link to a user on another server in the same domain.

I had found that if you send to other servers within your domain via SMTP that your doclinks will no longer work. Change the setting in your configuration document under Router/SMTP - BasicsSMTP allowed within the local internet domain: Disabled
My links started working after that.

IAMAE but if mail leave the Notes world and goes anywhere else, doclinks are killed. Sounds like somewhere in the process, mail is leaving your Notes environment and then dropping back in. I have no clue where you’d look for the problem but something IS different in the way mail is routed or processed.
