Nevermind - their access level had the copy or replicate unchecked so the the below issue is a non issue.
A database where everyone has read only access was created in 8.5 and is being accessed by end users on 6.5. When they try to print documents in that database they get the error message: Doc is private and cannot be printed. I have checked the document properties and there is no $KeepPrivate value in the document properties. Is this a version problem? Will they be able to print when they are upgraded to 8.5?
