Doc/DB Icons in emails

Hello.

We have some users who, when receiving emails with doc/db links do not get the nice blue clickable icons but instead just get text.

We have looked at their settings and all looks OK i.e. one user who is getting the icons has the same settings as a user who does not get the icons.

Can anyone suggest where else we might look to rectify this problem please?

Thanks in-advance for any input.

It happens when email is delivered through SMTP instead of Notes. Check what path email took to reach the recepient.

Thanks for the response Andrei. I have been away on leave and only saw your response today.

I am not an admin person so would you please be kind enough to letr me know how I can check the path the email took. Also, why doesn’t it happen to all staff? We are all set-up the same way.

Cheers!

The usual culprit is a personal address book entry that lists an internal user and uses the internet address rather than the Notes name (or just leaving the address field blank).

Thanks Stan. That was the problem. As soon as I removed the name from my personal address book and sent an email with a link, my team mate was able to see the link to the db I had emailed him and click and open it.

I will now re-enter his details in my personal address book and ensure that he has an email address specified.

Thanks!
