Do we need to create index on names.nsf?

I saw few msgs in my logs saying

Wwarning!agent is performing full text operation on names.nsf but its not fully indexed , which is extremelt inefficient.

so by rite names.nsf should be indexed or not ?

i checked its not indexed yet.

pls advise

Something is trying to search against the names.nsf and is trying to use ftsearch. I would track that down. There is no harm in full text indexing, but I would question why it is needed.

I don’t think to blindly agress is always the way to go. Investigate why then decide if it is needed.

Hi, I have warning message: “warning agent is performing full text operation on names.nsf but its not fully indexed , which is extremelt inefficient.” on a database of 600Mb size, the message is frecuent, in adition the same database reports a AMgr message:(Notes Release 6.5.1) over Linux 8

“AMgr error executing agent -name- in mail. No documents found”.

what sould I do? I thank your sugestions.

I know here there are highly experienced people that have fought with these.
