I have trouble with the Out Of office agent. I also have trouble with Symantec’s antivirus program. Both resolutions tell me I have a problem with bad DNS/network configuration. Maybe so but it is perplexing… As the server has been routing internal and internet based email for a few years now with no problems. But with two resolutions pointing to the same answer I say they must be right.
About four months ago we moved to Notes 6.01/Dom 6.01.
Also the trace server/test also give me errors
This is a one server environment. No others in the domain.
Any how I have two network cards configured. One internally and one externally to the internet.
TCPIP TCP NETWORK1 10.9.9.4
TCPIP2 TCP NETWORK2 216.150.123.215
Is it necessary to use two different port names and two different network names for this configuration?
A second complication (could be ?)is the fact that my server name doesn’t match my internet host name.
But like I said, All email has been routing with no problems, I am simply trying to resolve the two minor problems with Out of office and Symantec. Both problems tell me
THE SERVER OR NETWORK IS NOT RESPONDING.
Any idea’s on the best way to trouble shoot this problem?
Thanks.
