DNS is unavailable, message will be requeued

Recipient in local Internet Domain not found, forwarding to Smart HostDNS is unavailable, message will be requeued.

I have configured smarthosting as per the Lotus Documentation, and nslookups can be performed on the Domino Server at will without difficulty; I have read through similar problems on the R4, R5 & R6 forums to no avail - does anyone have the EXACT reason this occurs and a documented fix?

How do I find out WHAT DNS domino is trying to use?

Subject: DNS is unavailable, message will be requeued.

In your windows machine you will give DNS server address, domino server DNS client will query DNS server mentioned in TCP ip advanced properties.

The DNS Server is already set in this method. nslookups from the OS identify the correct DNS server and resolve properly.

Any other idea’s?
