Subject: write to localfeedcontent.nsf

The feed subscriptions and items are stored in a local database, localfeedcontent.nsf, so why not copy pre created FeedSubscription documents to that database. You could even create a database on the server using the feedcontent.ntf template and modify it so that users could pick the feeds they wanted and then click a button to have those feed subscription docs copied to their local database. They restart Notes and the feeds are there.I have tested by manually copying/pasting the FeedSubscription docs and it seems to work (Notes restart needed).

Subject: localfeedcontent.nsf

i have found a replica of localfeedcontent.nsf in the roaming folders… i guess it is possible to programatically add a feed to that which i suppose should replicate out at the next replication happens.

Subject: Yes please! How can i distribute a company RSS Feed?

We also need to distribute RSS Feeds within the company. But there is as it seems not supported in policys?

Not able to find any workaround either on any Notes forum.

All help is greatly appreciated!

Kindest regards

Rasmus

Subject: Distribute feeds in organisation

The built-in Lotus Notes Feed reader is unfortunately solely client based, so there is no possibility of distributing by policy through it.

However, there is at least one product handling the demand for feed distribution. Through a separate plug-in to Lotus Notes you may group, filter and distribute feeds across the organisation. Check www.yonc.com to find out more. Free trial available for download.

Subject: Add the feed as a default subscription when you install/upgrade Notes?

Not sure that this exactly meets your request but you can set default Notes Feeds subscriptions in the Notes install kit using the PRESETFEEDS.OPML file – there’s info about how in the “Installing and subscribing to preset feeds” help topic at http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/domhelp/v8r0/topic/com.ibm.help.domino.admin85.doc/H_INSTALLING_AND_SUBSCRIBING_TO_PRESET_FEEDS_OVER.html

Subject: Thank you!

I will have a look at the thirdparty product.

Best regards
